As soon as he was done he checked to see who the call was from, expecting Kim but pleasantly surprised to see it was Janet. He listened to the voicemail, before checking the time and calling her.
He poured himself a drink and settled in as the phone rang. She very well could have gone to bed early, or be busy. It was a chance he took in calling her. He was always glad to hear from her, their night together not the entire factor in that.
